“In the biggest languages, the voices sound nearly human.”

“…an impressive natural-like array of voices and great customer support.”

Accents change how French is said. Marche is a walk, but marché is a market, and the é is the only sign that the final vowel is spoken. Côte and cote differ in the same way. French spelling keeps accents on capital letters, so start a sentence with É rather than E, and check copied text for accents that went missing.
Spoken French links words together. In les amis the s is sounded as a z, but in les héros it stays silent, because that h blocks the link. Keep elisions such as l'école and qu'il exactly as written. French print also puts a space before : ; ! and ? and inside « guillemets ». Type whichever habit you prefer, then preview a question to hear the rising tone.
Write decimals with a comma (3,5) and thousands with a space (12 500). Ordinals look like 1er and 2e, and dates go day first: le 14 juillet. Abbreviations such as M., Mme and n° deserve a listen; spell one out if it comes out wrong, or set its reading in the pronunciation dictionary.

France. The voices on this page speak standard French as heard in France, the accent most French courses teach. Quebec French differs in its vowels, its rhythm and some everyday words, and Belgian and Swiss French have habits of their own. For those audiences, open the matching page in the list above.
Use vous for most voice overs: adverts for adults, banks, health, e-learning and phone menus. Tu suits brands that talk to teenagers, or a playful social clip. Whichever you pick, keep it the same across the whole script, including verb endings and words such as votre or ton, so the narrator never switches tone halfway through.
