Malayalam has chillu letters, ൻ, ർ, ൽ, ൾ and ൺ, which close a syllable with no vowel after it. Other consonants at the end of a word take the chandrakkala (്), and there it usually stands for a short, half-spoken u: അത് sounds close to athu. You will also see two styles of script, the traditional one and the reformed one of the 1970s. They are two ways of drawing the same Unicode letters.
Formal Malayalam leans heavily on Sanskrit words, so a news script and a chat between friends can sound like different registers. Use നിങ്ങൾ for a general audience, താങ്കൾ for an official or very polite notice, and നീ only between friends. Speech around Thiruvananthapuram, Thrissur and Kozhikode differs in tune and in some words. Write in the standard form unless a character needs local colour.
Malayalam joins words into long compounds, and one written word can carry a whole phrase. If the voice pauses in an odd place, split the sentence rather than the word. Kerala ads mix in English, usually in Malayalam letters, such as ഓഫർ and ഷോറൂം. Long place names like Thiruvananthapuram are worth a preview, and the pronunciation dictionary keeps any fixed reading.

Yes, on a paid plan: paid plans include commercial rights, and the Free plan is for personal and evaluation use only. Starter costs $5 for the first month, then $19 a month.
Preview the line first. If a number, date or abbreviation comes out wrong, write it the way it should be spoken, or add it to the pronunciation dictionary, which is on every plan. One entry fixes that word across the whole project.
No. The traditional script and the reformed script are two ways of drawing the same letters, and Unicode stores the text the same way. A font decides which style you see on screen. What matters for the voice is that every chillu and conjunct is in place, so check those before you press Play.
Type ordinary digits. Malayalam numerals such as ൧ and ൨ appear mostly in old documents and traditional calendars. For dates, a form like 15 ഓഗസ്റ്റ് reads clearly. Festival scripts may name the Malayalam month as well, such as ചിങ്ങം for Onam. If a figure is read the wrong way, write it out in words.
