Danish is spelled far from how it sounds. The d in mad and gade is soft, the h in hvad and hvem is silent, and many endings fade in speech. Do not respell words the way they sound to help the voice. It expects standard spelling, so write the forms Dansk Sprognævn lists and let the voice handle the rest.

Above forty, Danish counts tens in twenties. Fifty is halvtreds, seventy is halvfjerds and ninety is halvfems, and the unit comes first, so 96 is seksoghalvfems. Use a comma for decimals, a point for thousands and a point after the day, as in 5. juni. Phone numbers have eight digits and are spoken in pairs, so group them that way: 33 12 45 67.

English is everywhere in Danish work and marketing talk: weekend, deadline, app and feedback all appear in normal sentences. Keep them if your listeners use them. Preview each English word, brand and place name, and give any that comes out wrong a fixed reading in the pronunciation dictionary.

Yes, on a paid plan: paid plans include commercial rights, and the Free plan is for personal and evaluation use only. Starter costs $5 for the first month, then $19 a month.

Preview the line first. If a number, date or abbreviation comes out wrong, write it the way it should be spoken, or add it to the pronunciation dictionary, which is on every plan. One entry fixes that word across the whole project.

Spoken Danish drops and softens many sounds the spelling keeps. It also has the stød, a short catch in the voice that is never written, yet it separates hun (she) from hund (dog). Write standard spelling, which the voice is built to read, and preview rare words and local names.

Use du. Danes say du to almost everyone, including customers and strangers, and adverts and public notices do the same. De now sounds stiff and is mostly kept for the royal family. Pick du and keep it through the whole script, because switching confuses listeners.
