“In the biggest languages, the voices sound nearly human.”
Review on Capterra , 1 December 2022
“…an impressive natural-like array of voices and great customer support.”

Belgian Dutch, usually called Flemish in English, uses the same official spelling as the Netherlands, set by the Dutch Language Union. Flemish speakers use a soft g and a different w, and their rhythm is gentler. Choose it for listeners in Flanders and Dutch-speaking Brussels, who notice a northern accent at once.
Swap in Flemish words where they exist. A mobile phone is a gsm, the fridge is the frigo, a butcher is a beenhouwer, and goesting means you fancy something. Plezant means pleasant or fun, and schoon often means beautiful rather than clean. Several of these come from French, which is why they sound natural in Belgium and odd in Amsterdam.
Standard Belgian Dutch, as heard on the evening news, suits most ads and training. Everyday tussentaal, with ge and gij or clipped endings, sounds friendly but has no fixed spelling, so preview it. In a Dutch script, use the Dutch names for Walloon towns: Luik, Bergen, Namen and Doornik. Set tricky brand names in the pronunciation dictionary.

Yes, in everyday English. Flemish means the Dutch spoken in Flanders, written to the same standard as in the Netherlands. These voices read standard Dutch with a Flemish accent. Local dialects such as West Flemish or Antwerp speech differ much more, so listen to a dialect script first.
Flemish listeners understand it easily, since many watch Dutch television, but they hear a harder g and northern words such as mobiel and koelkast. For a brand, school or city service in Flanders, a Belgian Dutch voice sounds local. For a campaign in both countries, make two versions.
