Telugu letters are rounded, and most vowel signs sit on top of the consonant or beside it. When two consonants meet with no vowel between them, the second is written small underneath as a vattu, so క and క make క్క. Telugu also keeps short and long e and o apart, as ఎ and ఏ, ఒ and ఓ. A wrong sign gives a different word, so proofread first.
Write in the modern vyavaharika style, which follows educated everyday speech. The older grandhika style of classical texts sounds heavy in a reel or an ad. Speech changes by region. Hyderabad and the rest of Telangana use more Urdu words, while coastal Andhra speech sits closer to the written standard. Address viewers and customers with మీరు, and save నువ్వు for friends or a cheeky character.
Telugu digits such as ౧ and ౨ are rare today, so type 1, 2, 3, and count large sums in లక్ష and కోటి. English loans often gain a final u in Telugu, so you will see both బస్ and బస్సు, టికెట్ and టికెట్టు. Choose one spelling for the script. Cities have short forms too, such as Vizag for Visakhapatnam; fix your choice in the pronunciation dictionary.

Preview the line first. If a number, date or abbreviation comes out wrong, write it the way it should be spoken, or add it to the pronunciation dictionary, which is on every plan. One entry fixes that word across the whole project.
Write your script in standard Telugu, the neutral form of TV news and schoolbooks, and listeners in both states will follow it easily. If you want a Hyderabad flavour, with words like జర (a little) or షురూ (start), preview those lines to hear how they land. Keep strong dialect words for characters and local ads, not for lessons.
Both are common. Telugu letters let you choose the sound, for example రీచార్జ్ or ఆఫర్. Latin letters keep a brand or product name exact. A good habit is Latin letters for names, Telugu letters for everyday loans, and a preview of every line where the two meet. Add any word that stays wrong to the pronunciation dictionary[[C067]].
