“…an impressive natural-like array of voices and great customer support.”

Finnish is written almost exactly as it sounds, which suits a voice well, as long as every letter is right. Length is shown by doubling, so tuli is fire, tuuli is wind and tulli is customs. Ä and ö are vowels of their own: sää means weather, saa means gets. Stress always falls on the first syllable, even in long compounds.

Endings carry the grammar, and names, abbreviations and numbers take them too. Helsinki becomes Helsingissä, and an abbreviation joins its ending with a colon, as in EU:n. With a figure, the voice must guess the case, so write viidessä minuutissa rather than 5 minuutissa when the ending matters. Dates run day, month, year, as in 13.10.2026.

Choose between written and spoken Finnish. Narration, e-learning and public notices use kirjakieli, with minä and sinä. A casual social clip may use puhekieli, with mä and sä, which sounds like everyday talk. Office slang mixes in English with Finnish endings, such as meetingissä. Preview those words, and add any brand name the voice misreads to the pronunciation dictionary.

Yes, on a paid plan: paid plans include commercial rights, and the Free plan is for personal and evaluation use only. Starter costs $5 for the first month, then $19 a month.

Preview the line first. If a number, date or abbreviation comes out wrong, write it the way it should be spoken, or add it to the pronunciation dictionary, which is on every plan. One entry fixes that word across the whole project.

No. Finnish is a Finnic language, close to Estonian and distantly related to Hungarian, while Swedish, Danish and Norwegian are Germanic. Swedish is Finland's second national language, spoken on the west and south coasts and in Åland. For those listeners, use a Swedish voice and preview it; for everyone else, write in Finnish.

Keep the original spelling. If a name ends in a letter that is not pronounced, add the ending after an apostrophe, as in Bordeaux'ssa. A Finnish voice tends to stress the first syllable, so names stressed later, such as Madrid, can sound Finnish. Preview them and respell any that miss.
