Lao is written without spaces between words. A space marks the end of a phrase or a sentence, so place one where a listener should hear a short break. Do not add a space between every word to help the voice. A Lao reader would find that odd, and the line may not flow the way you expect.

Check every tone mark. Lao has four, written above the consonant, and together with the consonant class and vowel length they set the tone of each syllable. ໃກ້ means near and ໄກ means far, yet both are said kai. A missing or misplaced mark can turn one word into another, so read each line back before you press Play.

Use a Unicode Lao font such as Phetsarath OT, the government standard. Text typed in older, non-Unicode Lao fonts can paste in as Latin letters, and those will not be read as Lao. If your text started life in Thai, rewrite it in Lao spelling rather than swapping letters. For brand or foreign names that come out wrong, add an entry to the pronunciation dictionary.

Yes, on a paid plan: paid plans include commercial rights, and the Free plan is for personal and evaluation use only. Starter costs $5 for the first month, then $19 a month.

Preview the line first. If a number, date or abbreviation comes out wrong, write it the way it should be spoken, or add it to the pronunciation dictionary, which is on every plan. One entry fixes that word across the whole project.

Not as it is. Lao and Thai are close, and people in Isan, in northeast Thailand, speak Lao dialects, but Isan is usually written in Thai script. Thai script uses different letters and spellings from Lao. Rewrite the text in Lao letters for a Lao voice, or use the Thai page if your script is in Thai.

Western digits are the most common in Laos today, and Lao digits such as ໑, ໒ and ໓ also appear. Pick one style for the whole script. Buddhist Era years, marked ພ.ສ., show up in religious and traditional settings, so say which calendar you mean. When a number must be read a certain way, write it in words and preview it.
