Hebrew runs right to left with 22 letters, five of which change shape at the end of a word: ך, ם, ן, ף and ץ. Everyday text leaves out the vowel points, called niqqud, so one spelling can stand for several words. ספר can be sefer (book), sapar (barber) or sipper (told). The voice chooses from context. Where context is thin, point that one word or rephrase the sentence.

Prefer full spelling, ktiv male, which adds ו and י as vowel letters: תוכנית rather than תכנית. It is the norm in modern print and leaves less to guess. Acronyms with gershayim, such as צה״ל, are sometimes said as a word and sometimes spelled out, so preview them, and write תל אביב in full. An English brand name inside a Hebrew line can shuffle punctuation on screen. Check the order, and set its reading in the pronunciation dictionary.

Hebrew marks gender in verbs, adjectives and the word you, and numbers carry gender too: שלושה ספרים but שלוש שאלות. A digit gives the voice no hint, so spell out a number when the gender matters. Write dates day first, such as 13.10, and add the Hebrew date for holidays when your audience expects one. Keep slang light in training and public notices, where listeners expect standard spoken Hebrew.

Yes. Hebrew has 5 male and 5 female voices. Use the gender filter above the voice list and try a few with your own first line.

Yes, on a paid plan: paid plans include commercial rights, and the Free plan is for personal and evaluation use only. Starter costs $5 for the first month, then $19 a month.

Preview the line first. If a number, date or abbreviation comes out wrong, write it the way it should be spoken, or add it to the pronunciation dictionary, which is on every plan. One entry fixes that word across the whole project.

Usually not. Modern Hebrew is written without vowel points, and the voice reads it from the surrounding words, just as an Israeli reader does. Add niqqud only to a word with two plausible readings, such as an unusual name or a two-word headline, or rewrite the phrase so the context settles it. Full spelling with ו and י also cuts the guesswork. Preview to confirm.

Pick one approach and keep it. The plural, as in הצטרפו אלינו (join us) or נסו עכשיו (try now), speaks to everyone and sounds natural in ads and announcements. Some brands choose one gender for a personal tone. Avoid slash forms such as בוא/י, which look fine in print but sound broken aloud. If you need both, make two versions with different voices.
