“In the biggest languages, the voices sound nearly human.”

Ecuador has two broad accents. Highland speech in Quito and Cuenca is unhurried, and Cuenca is known for a sing-song tune. Coastal speech in Guayaquil is quicker and softens a final s, closer to the Caribbean. Choose these voices for Ecuadorian radio, city notices, tourism and staff courses in either region.
Kichwa has left its mark on daily speech. A brother or sister is a ñaño or ñaña, a baby is a guagua, and people say achachay when it is cold and arrarray when something burns. In Quito a polite request often uses dar with a gerund: deme pasando la sal means please pass the salt. Use it when the script should sound local.
Ecuador uses the US dollar, so prices are said in dólares and centavos. Write the word after the figure, as in 20 dólares, and preview it. Volcano and town names such as Cotopaxi, Chimborazo, Latacunga and Saquisilí are worth a listen before you generate. If one is misread, set it once in the pronunciation dictionary.

Yes, and many Ecuadorian scripts do. A greeting such as alli puncha (good morning) or yupaychani (thank you) can open a community or tourism message. Keep the Kichwa spelling, preview the line, and fix any word that comes out wrong in the pronunciation dictionary[[C067]].
